STARTS IN JANUARY 2025 (Seasonal) Key Responsibilities:
Processing of all 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041, 1120-H, 990, 5500, payroll, amended and all required tax returns as they are sent to Tax Admin via XCM.
Processing extensions throughout the year as due dates arrive.
Processing estimates quarterly and mail out.
Back-up for e-filing tax returns using the Electronic Filing Status software.
Print due date reports as requested through XCM; be familiar with XCM and its functions.
Print tax notice letters and information for mailing to IRS/NC DOR as needed.
Training seasonal tax processors, as needed.
Generate tax-only engagement letters as needed throughout the year according to client fiscal year ends.
Assistance with year-end mailings, such as organizers, tax planning guides and payroll letters.
Assist with special requests from the Tax Department, such as sending copies of tax returns and extensions to clients, or, with a consent form, send directly to third party.
Ability to use FileShare or Portal to upload files to clients/third parties
Back up at front desk, as needed.
Key Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
1-3 years of previous tax administrative support.
Previous experience in accounting firm preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of use of a 10-key calculator.
Ability to multi-task in a seasonal fast-paced environment.
Valid NC driver license; Ability to drive own vehicle to complete occasional office errands, as needed, such as post office or meal pickup.
