Lead and supervise the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely processing of all shipments while maintaining accuracy in inventory management.
Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including loading, unloading, and staging of materials.
Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to facilitate smooth transportation and delivery schedules.
Ensure proper materials handling techniques are followed for heavy lifting and delicate items to prevent damage or injury.
Monitor warehouse operations using WMS tools to optimize workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Enforce safety policies related to OSHA regulations, including proper equipment use, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
Provide team management by training staff on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
2 years' experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution environment with a strong focus on shipping & receiving operations.
Valid forklift certification with mechanical knowledge for safe operation of heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques, heavy lifting safety procedures, and OSHA compliance standards.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment.
