Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments of raw materials, parts, and production supplies.
  • Verify shipment information against purchase orders, packing slips, and quality specifications.
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, contamination, or variances from production specs.
  • Document and report discrepancies to procurement, quality control, and supervisors.
  • Enter received materials into ERP or inventory management systems accurately and promptly.
  • Generate receiving reports and maintain clear documentation for audits and traceability.
  • Apply appropriate labels (lot numbers, expiration dates, material codes, etc.) based on manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA, or industry standards, if applicable).
  • Safely move materials to designated storage areas, racks, or production staging zones.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive materials (temperature, humidity, contamination control).
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock rotation, and inventory audits.
  • Prepare materials for internal transfer and support production with timely material delivery.
  • Communicate with carriers and drivers to coordinate unloading and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing materials, components, and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping, and communication skills.
