Provide critical insights and analytical support to help capture a disproportionate share of growth.
Provide understanding of category, channel, and shopper insights through syndicated & internal data.
Collaborate with product management and sales to build data driven business reviews, and create sell-in sheets for key customers.
Identify category gaps/opportunities for customers, creating sales stories with strategic recommendations that help increase distribution, space, and displays.
Serve as voice of category/retail in cross functional innovation development meetings, highlighting trends and opportunities for expansion within current categories and/or within adjacent categories.
Provide ad hoc analysis, as needed.
Assist with initial data entry for master style set-up.
Mail samples out to customers.
Enter merchandise and assortment information into planning systems/style master.
Support inventory analysis.
Qualifications:
Advanced analytical skills, use of PC-based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with emphasis on Advanced Excel Pivot Tables & Formulas.
Demonstrated ability in analyzing data, formulating recommendations, developing presentations and presenting action plans to achieve desired business results.
Demonstrated strengths in analysis and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with enthusiasm and impact.
Ability to synthesize data from multiple resources to build actionable recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to present and calibrate on critical challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD, GFK, etc).
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of relevant work experience within category management or sales analysis.
Experience working for consumer goods company preferred.
