Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders; talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Quotes prices and approves credit terms.
  • Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and provides organized follow-up on all quotes.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Tracks stock levels.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Attends trade shows and actively participates in trade associations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 2-5 years outside sales experience.
  • Experience in building supply industry preferred.
  • Understanding of material take offs and blueprint reading.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
