Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, dismantle, maintain, set up and adjust machinery.
  • Mechanically service equipment, including ventilation, heating systems, facility repairs, various types of pipelines and plumbing, fittings and hydraulics as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems (both low and high voltage) as well as controls.
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic devices and systems.
  • Perform varied mechanical, electrical, and plumbing duties on equipment and throughout the facility.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Use various testing devices on equipment after repairs or adjustments.
  • Perform weekly start-ups and/or shutdowns of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Practice safe de-energization of equipment (including multiple energy sources and machine specific lockout tag out methods).
  • Demonstrate the ability to use industrial maintenance tools and/or willing to train to obtain skills to perform duties such as multiple welding applications, use of cutting torch, plasma cutter, testing devices, various industrial shop, power, and hand tools.
  • Contribute to team projects by accurately completing individual assignments.
  • Perform on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Participate in required training.
  • Operate various PIV equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting production in emergency situations.
  • Work up to 12 consecutive hours, which hours may fluctuate based on the production needs of the business.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong ability to use measurement tools.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
  • Must perform duties while observing all OSHA compliant and company safe work practices and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment from blueprints, schematics, or digital devices.
