Fabrication Plumbing Foreman oversees field installation activities for plumbing systems on industrial and commercial construction projects. The role emphasizes productivity, quality, safety, team leadership, and works closely with project and fabrication supervisors to ensure timely and compliant installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead work crews in the plumbing/mechanical trade; responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws;
compliance with company rules, regulations, and promote safety.
Lead, train, motivate, coach, and develop your team.
Plan, assign, direct, and monitor work of employees in adherence to plans and specifications.
Perform pipe testing and document necessary paperwork; understand submittals, specs, drawings, plumbing mechanical system function, equipment/fixture detail per contract drawings and specs.
Acts as a working foreman to fit, cut, and install various piping systems.
Understand/enforce the OPS system (Tier zero trackers, Tier 1boards, and able to run/back up the Tier 1 board).
Lead development plan meeting with lower-tier employees.
Interpret, read, and write routine reports, correspondence, documents, and instructions.
Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
Working knowledge and basic understanding of plumbing codes.
Work with mathematical concepts (probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, solid geometry, trigonometry); apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Working knowledge of Stratus, ACC, Blue Beam, ACC model viewer, HH2, Egnyte.
