The IT Director is responsible for driving the overall technology strategy, infrastructure management, and digital transformation initiative. This individual will oversee all IT operations, ensure robust system performance, and lead the evaluation and deployment of innovative solutions—particularly in automation and AI—to support the growth and efficiency of the organization. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in infrastructure, construction technology platforms, data governance, and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with business goals and helps shape long-term technical direction.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to assess their strategic value.
Build business cases for technology investments with ROI and cost-benefit analysis.
Oversee the management and maintenance of network systems, servers, devices, cloud environments, and business-critical software.
Ensure system security, reliability, and scalability to meet operational needs.
Manage IT budgets, assets, resources, and vendor relationships efficiently.
Lead the selection and deployment of automation and AI technologies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify use cases and manage project execution from concept to rollout.
Ensure ongoing support and optimization of deployed solutions.
Establish and enforce data governance policies for accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Lead enterprise data strategy and leverage analytics to drive business insights.
Build, lead, and mentor IT team focused on service, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Supervise external vendors/consultants, ensuring effective service and communication.
Communicate IT strategy and key initiatives to stakeholders across departments.
Serve as a trusted partner to department leaders, helping to align technology with their needs.
Maintain compliance with IT policies, industry regulations, and cybersecurity standards.
Mitigate technology-related risks including system outages, cyber threats, and data breaches.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
Demonstrated ability to align IT strategy with business operations and growth.
Expertise in IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and enterprise support.
Proven success leading automation and AI initiatives.
Strong background in data governance, analytics, and compliance.
Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects on time and within budget.
Technical proficiency preferred: ERP Systems, Autodesk AEC, Procore, MS Project, Revit, MS Automate, UiPath, Blue Prism, TensorFlow, Azure Machine Learning, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Egnyte, MS OneDrive, Box
