We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. Your expertise in collections, accounting software, financial concepts, and customer service will drive efficient revenue cycle management and support our organization’s financial health. Key Responsibilities:
Process and monitor incoming payments through various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Collaborate with clients and internal departments to follow up on overdue invoices and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation reports.
Support the revenue cycle management process.
Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing aging reports, analyzing outstanding balances, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Qualifications:
5+ years of collections experience is a required.
Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
Knowledge of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements for accurate financial reporting.
Strong communication skills combined with effective phone etiquette to facilitate collections while maintaining positive client relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and identify discrepancies quickly.
